Liliane Nakad: One Woman, Many Worlds, One Powerful Voice

Liliane Nakad: A Career Built on Communication

Some careers follow one clear path. Others grow through change, curiosity, and new opportunities. In many ways, Liliane Nakad ’s journey reflects the second kind.

For more than two decades, she has worked across communication, languages, education, business, and entrepreneurship. Throughout this journey, her experience includes international organizations, global companies, schools, airlines, luxury brands, and communication agencies.

Today, she is a Managing Partner at Four Pillar Communications. She is also a Founding Partner at Sense Seven Delicacies in the UAE. Alongside these roles, she continues to work as a freelance editor, translator, and interpreter.

Yet, her career goes beyond a list of positions. Each chapter has helped shape the professional she is today.

Her academic background at Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth gave her a strong foundation. From there, her career then took her across industries and countries, while communication remained at its center.

From Business to Education and Language

Her professional journey began in administration. In 2002, she joined the International School of Choueifat as an Admission Officer and Director’s Personal Assistant.

In this role, she worked with parents, students, directors, and school teams. She managed registrations, meetings, reports, and administrative tasks.

A year later, she entered the aviation industry with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. As a Sales Executive, she developed client relationships, explored new business opportunities, negotiated agreements, and followed market trends.

Then, in 2004, she joined Patchi International as a Branch Manager. There, she worked with luxury brands such as Versace, Sèvres, and Baccarat.

Her responsibilities went beyond sales. In addition, she worked with marketing and communication teams, contributed to product development, analyzed consumer trends, and trained staff.

Later, she moved into banking before returning to education. At LLFP, she taught French as a second language and coordinated educational activities.

She then became Head of the Modern Foreign Languages Department at Raffles World Academy. As a result, this role strengthened her leadership and curriculum development skills.

At the same time, another professional path was growing.

Language was becoming her strongest bridge to the world.

Liliane Nakad and the World of Global Communication

Her translation career began alongside her other professional roles. In 2006, she started working as a freelance translator with Reuters.

There, she handled technical, legal, and business documents. She also worked on multilingual localization projects and interpreted for executives during business meetings.

Over time, her work expanded into international conferences and organizations.

She has worked with institutions including the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, UNDP, WHO, G7+, G20, and IRENA. She has also worked with Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi.

In addition, her experience covers subjects such as economics, commerce, climate change, and the environment.

However, translation is only one part of her work.

She also specializes in conference and simultaneous interpretation. These roles, in turn, demand precision, concentration, and quick thinking.

For her, language is more than vocabulary.

It is about context.

It is about culture.

Most importantly, it is about making sure a message reaches people with its meaning intact.

Her work as an editor and copywriter adds another layer. She does not simply translate ideas. She also helps shape them.

Building Four Pillar Communications

In 2015, she joined Globalization Partners International as a Global Account Services Manager. This position, in turn, brought together her experience in communication, business development, and client relations.

She managed existing accounts and developed new opportunities. She also supported global clients with their translation and localization needs.

Then, in 2016, she took a major entrepreneurial step. She became a Founding Partner at Four Pillar Communications in the UAE.

The company brings together linguists, communication professionals, media specialists, and creative experts. Its services include translation, interpretation, localization, subtitling, content writing, copywriting, editing, and event planning.

Furthermore, the company works across more than 200 languages.

For Liliane, this role brings together many of the skills she has developed throughout her career.

She understands language. She understands business. At the same time, she understands clients and international communication.

She also continues to work as a Senior Consultant Interpreter with Four Pillar Communications. Through this work, her experience with major conferences and international institutions allows her to operate comfortably in complex and multicultural environments.

Meanwhile, her leadership experience continues to grow through team management, training, and organizational development.

Liliane Nakad: A Career That Keeps Evolving

In June 2024, she expanded her entrepreneurial journey once again. She became a Founding Partner at Sense Seven Delicacies in the UAE.

This new venture represents another side of her professional identity. Yet, the connection with her previous work remains clear.

Entrepreneurship requires communication, strategy, relationships, and an understanding of people. Over the years, these are skills she has developed throughout her career.

Her journey may cross many industries, but one element connects them all. People.

She has worked with students, parents, clients, executives, business leaders, international organizations, and creative professionals. Through each experience, she learned how to listen, adapt, negotiate, lead, and connect.

That ability to move between different worlds has become one of her greatest strengths.

Ultimately, her career also shows that professional growth does not always follow a straight line. Sometimes, the most valuable experience comes from an unexpected direction.

Sales can teach negotiation. Education can build leadership. Translation can develop cultural awareness. Interpretation can sharpen focus. In turn, entrepreneurship can bring all these skills together.

Liliane has allowed each experience to become part of the next chapter.

Today, her work sits at the intersection of language, communication, leadership, and business. More importantly, her story is not simply about knowing different languages or working across different industries.
