BEIRUT, LEBANON — Radio host, fitness entrepreneur, and human rights advocate Maya Nassar Maalouf celebrated her 40th birthday by hosting “Voices of Hope,” an inspiring evening dedicated to resilience, empowerment, and courage at Malia Tower in Jal El Dib.
Moving beyond a traditional birthday celebration, Maya created an event to uplift and empower her community. The evening brought together people with extraordinary stories of strength to inspire others facing life’s challenges.
The event featured keynote addresses from two speakers:
- Lurata Lyon, an international speaker, author, and human rights activist, shared her harrowing yet inspiring story of surviving human trafficking and war, demonstrating the power of human resilience.
- Anthony Nahoul moved the audience with his story of overcoming life-altering adversity, offering a deeply personal perspective on faith, determination, and finding purpose through struggle.
“Turning 40 is a meaningful milestone, and I wanted to celebrate it by giving something truly inspiring back to our community,” said Maya Nassar Maalouf. “Hope is not just a feeling—it’s a mindset and a choice. Bringing Lurata and Anthony to Beirut to share their journeys was my way of showing that no matter what obstacles we face, we all have the capacity to overcome, rebuild, and thrive.”
The event brought together guests, community leaders, and supporters to hear stories of triumph over adversity, highlighting a spirit of hope and unity in Lebanon.
