When God-like Love Meets Human Failure. Drowning in Good Intentions.

When God-like Love Meets Human Failure. Drowning in Good Intentions.

When your own Intentions Start to Hurt You.

There is a saying that goes : The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I never questioned it, until my own intentions started to feel like punishment.

I keep replaying moments in my head, trying to find where things shifted. And when, what I offered in good faith began to feel like something I never meant it. I didn’t know that trying to hold something together could sometimes leave you carrying the pieces alone. I only tried, in my own quiet, imperfect way, to do things right. What I meant never compete with perfection, it simply reaches for honesty.

But somehow, it wasn’t enough.

The fragility of intention.

The hardest part is not what happened afterward, but the realization that intention, no matter how honest or unguarded, doesn’t always survive its encounter with others, and what we give with sincerity can come back altered, as though softness itself becomes something people question, test, or quietly use against you.

What hurt the most isn’t just in how they harmed you, but in how your intention shifted into something else.

Over time, perception begins to bend, until the question slowly creeps in: Did anyone ever see these moments the way I lived them, or did I give them the meaning they seemed to hold while I was still inside? And in reality, you stand under the full weight of everything, reacting like any human would, trying to make sense of situations that keep shifting under your feet.

The Weight of False Perceptions

I used to trace every intention back to something clean and real. Yet I faced reactions I cannot fully undo or rewrite, leaving me to explain what they should already know, then I kept trying to fix things even after I knew they were over, while everything stood clear in front of me, because I couldn’t accept letting go of something I had deeply trusted and believed in, until I started falling apart.

There is a specific kind of exhaustion comes from reading your actions without hearing your heart, while still knowing you meant well.

You began shrinking parts of who you are, replaying conversations. Questioning tone, timing, words, silence. You even start questioning your own intention, and begin editing yourself long after the moment has passed, as if you could still fix what they have already assumed.

At some point, the struggle turned inward, I could no longer tell whether I was trying to save it, or save myself.

Learning to Stop Breaking Inside My Own Intentions

I am still learning how to let go.

How to stop living inside the aftermath of things I cannot change, making peace with what I once hoped would never happen, and moving forward without allowing it to define me. But it is not that easy. Because part of me still believes that if I explain it better, or become clearer, softer, wiser, maybe then they will finally see it the way I meant it. Or maybe they will understand the intention I carried from the beginning. Another part of me is tired. Weary of trying to get others to understand me at the cost of disappearing a little more each time.

So I am learning, slowly, that I do not need to erase myself to prove my intentions were real, I just have to survive them. And I’m no longer measure my worth by how my intention is received.

Where Their Sight Cannot Reach

Yet, I keep going, trying to stand, choosing not to break. even when everything around tried to make me question what I carry inside.

I never stopped believing that what I give into this world comes from a place of light, regardless of how others chose to see it, or when life forced me into reactions that are simply human, natural, and honest.

I choose to protect my intention, even when the world tries to redefine it.

Living under pressure does not mean becoming less of myself. I know what I carry within me, how much love, safety, joy, and presence I bring to the people around, and how deeply I still want to live fully, without shrinking myself for the sake of approval, or the fear that others might leave me behind.

I trust that a truth deeper than perception holds me.

A Promise to the Girl Who Stayed and the Intention She Carried

Perhaps, in the end, this is all that truly matters, a deep conviction that pain doesn’t own me. Not as a wound that speaks before I do. Nor as a weight that decides my direction. But as a quiet truth I carry beneath it all, that even in my darkest hours, I am still the one who chooses what I become. Because I have learned how suffering works. It twists the light and makes what is temporary feel eternal. And tries to convince us that the ache we carry is the same as who we are.

But, I refuse to let my pain write my story, and to let it pull my innocence away from the person I still choose to become. For I have witnessed how it can make us forget ourselves, and become the very thing we never wanted to. I don’t want my hurt to find its way into someone else’s heart and destroy it. It will end with me.

So I choose differently. Not by fighting. But by trusting. A soft, steady promise to stay whole, not smaller, after all I have lived through. Not for its ease, but because I still feel HER, that girl with the tender heart and the fire that never faded. The one who dreamed before she knew what fear and losses felt like.

That girl never stopped believing in me. And I will not stop fighting for her.

This article is very relatable and i hope that anyone who reads this understands that the past doesn’t define who you are, how you think or act. You should live in the moment and enjoy the things that make you happy without having to worry about the aftermath or what others might think.
