Life Is Your Greatest Performance. Own Every Role Confidently

Life Is Your Greatest Performance. Own Every Role Confidently

How Many Roles Do You Play in Life?

I am sure you have heard this question many times. If you start counting your roles, you will be surprised because every time you identify a new role, additional roles seem to appear in your life.

So, why count?

Falling in Love with the Stage

When I graduated from the University with a degree in Acting and Performing Arts, I was so excited to start my career in TV, Cinema, and Theatre, whether it was acting, singing, or presenting. I wanted to do anything that put me under the spotlight or behind a camera.

At that time, my life was busy, and it was a lot of fun. I played many roles and enjoyed the stress of rehearsals, the long hours of filming, and the sleepless nights. After all, I was in love with what I was doing and passionate about exploring my talents in different areas.

Moreover, I was playing the role of an actress who played different roles, in different places, for different audiences. I was happy, energized, and on fire!

What Keeps You Going?

So, what is the secret that allows you to do many things at the same time while staying focused, balanced, fulfilled, satisfied, and happy?

On the other hand, what factors can sabotage your happiness and passion?

Thinking Like an Actor

The actor says:

I am anything and everything. Everywhere I go, possibilities exist. The Universe lives within me. Above all, I am ALL.

In other words, I am open to opportunities. I am flexible. I am ready. Everything is possible. I can do it. I accept.

These are the beliefs we want to embrace in our lives. We want to become the actor who knows how to step into every role and step out of it without becoming attached to any of those roles.

Playing Every Role at Once

In reality, we try to play all our roles at the same time. As a result, we feel overwhelmed, out of control, stressed, and unhappy.

Meanwhile, an actor takes the script and studies the character carefully before performing it. Even if he or she performs the same play one hundred times, the performance remains consistent.

So, how many times do we not know what we are doing? How many times do we ask ourselves, “For what purpose am I doing this or that?”

Life Is Not an Improvisation

Sometimes, life feels like an improvisation. It is as if the director pulls you from the audience, gives you a role, and asks you to perform it on the spot. It might turn out amazing, or it might become a disaster.

However, a good actor who knows how to perform will always find a way to blow the audience’s mind.

So why don’t you become the actor in your own life?

Become the Actor of Your Own Story

What if you learned those skills and applied them to your daily life? How much easier and more enjoyable would your life become? How happy and fulfilled would you feel?

Furthermore, how many hidden talents do you have that you still don’t know about? What if discovering them could set you on fire?

Likewise, how many times have you stopped yourself from stepping onto the stage and surprising yourself?

Become the Director of Your Life

Being both the actor and the director of your life means taking responsibility for your dreams and your future.

Have you ever seen a director allow anyone to give opinions and change the direction of the play or movie?

Likewise, have you ever sat in a theatre and watched a random person from the audience step onto the stage and perform in the scene?

So, how many times have you allowed someone else to change your story and your dreams?

Finally, be the director of your own life script. Choose your players. Let them audition for the roles you have assigned to them. Above all, be the actor who masters the art of living!
