Fadia Ahmad’s “Together” & “Between Two Shades of Blue” Illuminate Human Connection and the Mediterranean Soul
Beirut, December 2025. This December, acclaimed Lebanese photographer and filmmaker Fadia Ahmad unveils two major artistic projects in Beirut: the documentary film “Together” and the solo photography exhibition “Between Two Shades of Blue.” Presented within days of each other, these works form a powerful, interconnected dialogue on intimacy, exile, memory, and belonging.
“TOGETHER”: A DOCUMENTARY ON THE INVISIBLE THREADS THAT BIND US
From December 8–10 at 8 PM, Metropolis Cinema will screen Together, a sensitive and universal documentary that explores the fragile, often unspoken dynamics of human relationships.
Synopsis:
Through delicate observation and emotional honesty, Together examines the invisible ties that connect us, tenderness, vulnerability, authenticity, and the quiet courage it takes to stay connected in a fractured world. Shot across multiple cultures, the film is an ode to the universal longing to be seen and understood.
Featuring real-life couples and families from diverse backgrounds, Together is produced under the visionary guidance of executive producer Rim Chehab, whose support helped bring this intimate, cross-cultural portrait to life.

In this deeply personal exhibition, Fadia Ahmad returns to the Mediterranean, the sea of her origin and exile, exploring it as both wound and bridge, memory and horizon.
The Exhibition in Brief:
Born far from Lebanon, Ahmad grew up “with words that had different sounds, different colors, different skies.” Her mother would point to the horizon and say: “Beyond this line lies Lebanon.” These photographs live between two shades of blue, between departure and return, belonging and wandering, the self-inherited and the self-created.

This is not just an exhibition of images, but a lyrical meditation on borders, identity, and the sea as a living, emotional geography. Each photograph is a layer of memory, a dialogue between two shores, a quiet confrontation with what it means to be from somewhere, and everywhere.

Fadia Ahmad is a Lebanese photographer, filmmaker, and visual storyteller whose work has long explored themes of exile, memory, collective wounds, and the search for belonging. Known for projects such as Beirut, the Aftermath, It Could Be You, and Beyrouth|Beirut, she blends documentary realism with poetic introspection, creating works that resonate on both personal and universal levels.
