Dijana, can you tell us about your journey as a young entrepreneur in Macedonia and the kind of work you do?
My journey started with a passion for numbers and strategy. Over the past decade, I have worked across accounting, tax, CFO services, and business development. Today, as CEO of Mitkovski M&M and co-founder of Bright Mind Advisory MK, I support companies of all sizes, from local SMEs to international startups, with financial analysis, tax advisory, and EU funding opportunities. What I enjoy most is helping businesses navigate complex systems, whether it’s through financial modeling, grant applications, or market entry. My role is not just about compliance or numbers, it’s about creating strong financial foundations so entrepreneurs can focus on growth.
Beyond business, you’ve been very active in supporting women’s empowerment. Why is this important to you?
For me, success is meaningful only if it opens doors for others. I strongly believe in empowering women not just in business, but in every area of life. Through my professional work and my involvement in not-for-profit initiatives, I focus on helping women access knowledge, funding, and mentorship. I know how challenging it can be to break into leadership roles, especially in environments where opportunities are not equally available. That’s why I dedicate time to supporting women-led projects, encouraging financial literacy, and creating networks where women can thrive together.
What advice would you give to young women who want to become entrepreneurs or leaders?
First, believe in your own capacity, even when others doubt it. Entrepreneurship is not just about having the right idea; it’s about resilience and the ability to keep moving forward despite obstacles. Second, invest in learning financial skills, business strategy, and leadership; these tools will give you independence and confidence. Finally, surround yourself with people who lift you higher. No one builds success alone, and the right community can make all the difference.
Looking ahead, what are your future goals as a young leader?
My vision is to continue building Bright Mind Advisory as a bridge between Macedonia and countries worldwide, creating more opportunities for businesses to expand internationally and compete on a global scale. Bright Mind Advisory is not only about financial expertise — it’s about opening doors, building networks, and giving companies the confidence to grow beyond local markets. At the same time, I see Bright Mind Advisory as a platform to invest in people — especially the next generation. There is enormous talent in our region, and through our work, we aim to help young people develop their skills, access mentorship, and believe in their own potential. Supporting youth means shaping a stronger, more resilient future, and I am committed to ensuring that Bright Mind Advisory plays a central role in guiding, encouraging, and empowering them.
