In a warm atmosphere filled with passion and inspiration, the Jordanian capital of Amman recently hosted a distinctive workshop for Lions International District 351 (Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine). This event successfully brought together 22 active women from the Greater Amman Municipality at Queen Rania Park, in cooperation with the park’s official, Ms. Rasha Al-Shawariba.
The workshop was a powerful collaboration between the Women’s Committee of Lebanon, presided by District Chairperson Lione Nadine Lawandos, owner and director of CREAart and creaartbynadine, and the Women’s Committee in Jordan, chaired by Lion Engineer Noha Handal. This meeting beautifully reflected the deep bonds between the two countries and their steadfast belief in women’s role in creativity and change.
A Special Focus on Sustainable Fashion

It was held in cooperation with the Greater Amman Municipality and organized by the Chairperson of the Women’s Committee in the Jordan District, Lion Nihal Hazmal.

Speeches that Deliver Messages of Strength and Inspiration
The workshop kicked off with deep introductions and a celebration of talents. A key lecture was delivered by Lion Nadine Lawandos, who addressed the meaning of true innovation and how to build a creative mindset capable of nurturing an idea from its first spark and developing it into a project ripe for growth and impact. Through inspiring stories and ideas in the art of recycling (upcycling), her words pushed participants to think differently. Ultimately, her talk radiated positive energy about the value of creativity as an internal force capable of changing our perspective on objects and ourselves.
Moreover, the session focused on direct interaction with the women. Nadine Lawandos discovered each participant’s unique talents and helped them identify what they needed to elevate their skills. Significantly, she promised to follow up on their work and support them in continuing their studies in this field, ensuring that creativity would not be just a one-off workshop, but rather a continuous journey of growth and empowerment.
Core Values: Courage, Liberation, and the Pursuit of Empowerment
The workshop was anchored in a core system of values that moved and inspired the attendees. The most prominent of these were:
- Courage to take the initiative.
- Liberation from restrictions and ready-made patterns.
- The Pursuit of self-discovery.
- Empowering women to produce and participate effectively.
- Enhancing personal strength and building a confident presence.
As a result, the women left carrying a new energy, a greater awareness of their capabilities, and the confidence that creativity is not the preserve of a select few, but is available to every woman who believes in herself.
A Lasting Impact and Future Collaboration
The event concluded with an awards ceremony honoring the participating women and officials. The ceremony was attended by the District Governor Lion Michel Hassoun, who honored Mrs. Rasha with his pin and a gift by CREAart. Additionally, Committee President Nadine Lawandos honored LCIF Area Leader PDG Aida Kaawar with a significant trophy well-designed for women’s strength, and a souvenir for Lion Noha Handal for all her effort to make this event successful. This event was attended by First Vice District Governor Lion Elias Antonios and many fellow Lions from Lebanon & Jordan.
The workshop ended with a photo session and words of thanks, firmly confirming that this meeting has opened the door for future collaboration between the two countries. This paves the way for joint projects that blend Lebanese and Jordanian designs, reflecting the beautiful convergence of the two cultures and their shared spirit of creativity.
