From Chance to Awareness:
I am Nadine Lawndos, a creative designer and the owner of a design atelier. For many years, I lived surrounded by sketches, fabrics, and endless appointments. I believed I was in control of everything — my work, my time, my future, even my life itself.
But in 2023, I realized that life is an illusion and the future a mirage. The moments you least expect often arrive suddenly — by chance. Everything seemed fine: I was healthy, business was thriving, and life was keeping pace with the times. Then, during a routine breast exam, the unthinkable appeared — the malignant disease. Time froze. Silence fell. The world seemed to shut its doors in my face.
Yet, I decided this would not be the end. That decision was not easy — it demanded courage, determination, and faith. I underwent surgery, followed by grueling rounds of radiation therapy, and months of medication and regular checkups.
It was far from easy. The journey exhausted me, body and soul. But it taught me a profound truth: the power of life reveals itself only through trial. My journey was a choice — to sink into weakness and despair, or to rise with strength and grace.
This experience changed my entire world. I discovered who my true friends were, and most importantly, I discovered myself — the self I had lost while chasing meaningless goals. I began to see life through a new lens — one of honesty, clarity, and depth.
I learned to listen to myself, to recognize my own rhythm, to simplify what is complex, and to take time before judging or reacting.
Two years have passed. I still continue my treatment and regular checkups, but I now live from a completely new perspective. I no longer seek perfection — I seek authenticity. I no longer resist what I don’t understand — I study it and learn from it. Cancer, for me, was not an ending but the beginning of a journey toward maturity and inner strength.
Today, I live in the present moment. I have learned from yesterday — and let it go. I no longer worry about tomorrow — each day carries enough of its own weight. I live consciously, awake, and grateful for every moment. I strive to embrace whatever life may bring with patience and acceptance.
Standing at the threshold of an uncertain destiny, I send a message to every woman reading these words:
Do not wait for symptoms — illness does not knock before entering.
Your decision to undergo regular screening could save your life. Do not postpone it. Sometimes one small step can turn everything around.
Face life with courage and strength, for the real challenge is not what happens to you, but how you choose to live what happens to you.
My journey with illness was not merely a test — it was a rebirth. A rebirth of a stronger, wiser, and more grounded Nadine. A woman who learned that healing is not only physical — it is a process of discovering and rebuilding the self from within.
I admit with pride: I am a woman who has walked through the storm and emerged radiant. Every woman, no matter the hardships she faces, can stand tall against the winds and rise from the tempest with grace and serenity.
Dear Ladies:
Do not leave yourself behind. Take care of her. A simple test can change your life. And always remember — no one is more important than you.
